This November 4th, comedians Aundre the WonderWoman, Dan St. Paul, Karinda Dobbins, and Dhaya Lakshminarayanan (plus surprise guests) come together to make audiences laugh about the sometimes confusing, painful, yet always hilariously entertaining presidential campaign.
The evening is produced by Karinda Dobbins and Dhaya Lakshminarayanan, two San Francisco Bay Area based socio-political comedians.
Dhaya is an MIT graduate, former management consultant and venture capitalist turned comedian. She has performed her political and social commentary coast to coast, covered the 2004 & 2008 Democratic National Conventions, with appearances on NPR, WGBH and CBS. She is the daughter of Indian immigrants.
Karinda Dobbins just made her television debut on Nickelodeon’s NickMom channel. She works in the pharmaceutical industry, has a teenage daughter, and grew up in a politically active family.
The lineup includes Aundre the Wonderwoman, recipient of the Stand Up For Justice Award from Death Penalty Focus; and Dan St Paul, an ally on women’s issues and representing the straight white married guy perspective. Surprise guest comedians will be on deck.
The Democrazy Now! Comedy show will take place at 7pm on Sunday November 4, at Stagewerx Theater in San Francisco, 446 Valencia Street.
